    Last year, Curiosity probed rounded rocks containing streambed gravels, believed to be evidence of an ancient stream on Mars.

    The Planetary Science Institute analyzed Curiosity's findings and recently published a report concluding that that "At a minimum, the stream was flowing at a speed equivalent to a walking pace -- a meter, or three feet, per second -- and it was ankle-deep to hip-deep."
